2- My Florida Home: A Class for First-time Home Buyers

Completion of this course fulfills the home ownership requirements for the SHIP and Rural Development programs. This 6 hour course is designed to educate participants regarding the home buying process, the financial responsibilities, and basic home care and maintenance techniques to maintain the home’s value and avoiding costly repairs. Topics include personal finances and credit situation, determining home much home you can afford, working with housing professionals, choosing a mortgage, and preventing foreclosure. Pre-registration is required. Class time is 9 am to 3 pm. Please call the Jackson County Extension Office at 850-482-9620 to register.

The 2018 Tri-State Cucurbit Workshop will provide the latest research information for commercial growers of watermelons, cantaloupe, squash, and cucumbers.
