100 Years of Extension Service

Calling all Jackson County Extension Family Members!!!

100 Years 2It’s here!  The 100th Anniversary of the Smith-Lever Act!  This means…

100 years ago, May 8, 1914, the U.S. Congress passed the Smith-Lever Act, establishing the National Agricultural Extension Service.

We will be spotlighting 100 years of Agricultural Extension Service throughout the year through bulletin boards and visual displays.  Do you, or someone you know, have a memory or a picture you’d like to share?  If so, please send us anything you would like to share as we celebrate the whole year of 2014.  Let’s show everyone how proud we are of our heritage in Jackson County!

Please contact Angel Granger @ 850-482-9620 or email her at amgranger@ufl.edu.

I have a few “working photos” that I could share and leave there. I do not have any ceremonial ones to share, to speak of. Let me know if you can use them, and can bring over mid week next week. Happy New Year, Charles
