4-H Volunteers: Judging Team Coach
Purpose
Provide leadership for a specific 4-H judging program on a club- or county-wide basis. Judging team opportunities in Jackson County include:
- Consumer Choices
- Judging
- Marine Judging
- Poultry Judging
- Horticulture Judging
- Land Judging
- Forestry Judging
- Horse Judging
- Meat Judging
- Livestock Judging
Responsibilities
- Participate in initial volunteer application and interview process
- Attend new volunteer training (offered annually)
- Attend at least two quarterly volunteer meetings
- Promote 4-H and recruit members regardless of sex, race, or disability.
- Uphold county 4-H policies and procedures
- Plan and coordinate the training of team members in preparation of contests
- Accompany judging team members to contests
- Submit any required reports to the 4-H office in a timely manner
