4-H Volunteers: Judging Team Coach


Purpose

Provide leadership for a specific 4-H judging program on a club- or county-wide basis. Judging team opportunities in Jackson County include:

  • Consumer Choices
  • Judging
  • Marine Judging
  • Poultry Judging
  • Horticulture Judging
  • Land Judging
  • Forestry Judging
  • Horse Judging
  • Meat Judging
  • Livestock Judging

Responsibilities

  • Participate in initial volunteer application and interview process
  • Attend new volunteer training (offered annually)
  • Attend at least two quarterly volunteer meetings
  • Promote 4-H and recruit members regardless of sex, race, or disability.
  • Uphold county 4-H policies and procedures
  • Plan and coordinate the training of team members in preparation of contests
  • Accompany judging team members to contests
  • Submit any required reports to the 4-H office in a timely manner
