2009 4-H Camps

The Jackson County 4-H program offers several camping opportunities for youth. We have both local day camps as well as overnight (residential) camps. Many of our overnight camps take place at the Timpoochee 4-H Center in Niceville, FL. Other overnight events, such as legislature and congress, take place on college campuses.

Summer Day Camps for 2009

NOTE: As many of you already know, Mrs. Heather Kent accepted a new position with UF/IFAS, as the NW District Regional Support 4-H Agent.  Although this is an exciting and wonderful career opportunity for Mrs. Kent, her leadership and talents are dearly missed here in the Extension Office. The down-side is that we will only be able to offer 1-2 summer day camps this year until a replacement 4-H agent is hired.  Please check back to see if any Day Camps have been scheduled.

4-H offers many exciting and fun opportunities for youth to grow and learn through educational projects. We strongly encourage parents and 4-Her's to review the Enrollment Guide and choose a project to work on together. Then contact 4-H Program Assistant, Patti Peacock, at the Extension Office, for a Project Book. We are confident both children and adults will find it a rewarding summer experience!
