5 - 6 Step Up to Leadership - Camp Staff & Counselor Training
10 - 12 Kids Culinary School; learn about food safety, food preparation techniques, nutrition, herb gardening & careers in the food industry; get a behind-the-scenes tour of the Chipola Culinary Arts program & several local restaurants; for ages 8 - 13; cost is $30, which includes supplies, lunch, snacks, field trips, apron & chef's hat.
16 - 20 * * * County Camp at Camp Timpoochee * * * (Niceville) A week-long residential camp, located on the Choctwhatatchee Bay; activities include: kayaking, swimming, hiking, teambuilding, marine science, fishing & more; camper ages 8 - 12; counselors-in-training ages 13 - 14; counselors ages 15 - 18; cost is $175, which includes transportation to & from camp, insurance, meals, T-shirt & daily canteen. 10 - 11 Water Wonders Day Camp; learn all about the water cycle & aquatic animals. Campers will visit the gulf Specimen Aquarium & estuaries in Panacea, and go on a fishing excursion; for ages 7 - 12; cost is $25, and includes snacks, field trip & fishing supplies.
10 -12 State 4-H Horse Show, Tampa fairgrounds
17 - 18 Marvelous Machines Day Camp; learn how to build 4 types of simple machines using gears, pulleys, levers & wheels and axles; then build a solar car; campers also visit Mary Brogan Museum to see the Marvelous Machines & Watts electricity exhibit; for ages 7 - 12; cost is $25, which includes supplies, field trip, museum admission, lunch on Friday & a daily snack.
21 - 25 State 4-H Congress - Gainesville
24 - 25

Sports & Nutrition Day Camp; learn basic skills for basketball, soccer & overall fitness; play games to learn about what to eat to make you a fitter athlete; tour FSU's Athletic Department on Friday; for ages 8 - 13; cost is $25, which includes a daily snack, lunch on Friday & field trip fees.

July 31 - Aug 1

4-H Space Camp; learn about Isaac Newton's laws of motion by building 3 different types of rockets; visit the Challenger Learning Center for a Mission to Mars simulation, Planetarium & IMAX shows in Tallahassee; for ages 7 - 12; cost is $40, which includes all supplies, field trip, snacks, lunch on Friday, admission to IMAX, fees for Planetarium & Space Mission.

July Notes:
     
AUGUST
7 - 8 Beginner Sewing School; learn how to thread a sewing machine, stitch straight & curved lines, and make 3 simple projects, including a garment to wear to school; for ages 10 and up; cost is $20, which includes supplies for 3 projects and a daily snack.
